Very nice website John. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the surprising effectiveness of QRP CW with simple wire antennas.
I enjoyed our brief CW QSO of December 12 2023. I was running about 9 watts with a mini uSRD+ QRP transceiver, into a 40 meter delta
loop antenna vertically configured; it is just a one element wire loop in the backyard trees at a low height (apex 25 feet or so).
My 9 watts with CW was not really QRP, but I can't turn the power down on that radio hi. I have made a lot of QRP CW DX contacts
with an indoor 14 meter horizontal loop strung around my bedroom ceiling. Very thin wire loop, fed with coax, with an 'ugly balun'
(coil of coax) at the feedpoint; I use it with my old Icom IC-703 QRP transceiver, at 5 watts. I don't understand why it gets out
as well as it does. Most recent DX contacts with that antenna Lithuania on 17m SSB, running 10 watts, and Austria on 15m CW,
at 5 watts, this week. You are right about QRP CW vs. simple wire antennas!

I've been operating with CW for one year, licensed with my general in April 2022 and
got on the air with CW July 2022. Inspired by Thomas Witherspoon's website, I finally got my feet wet
with QRP for POTA. My KX2 (nicknamed Craig) and I are indeed having fun. I joined NAQCC
last year but didn't do anything with it. Now, since the QRP bug has finally bitten me,
I plan to be more active with NAQCC, especially for the monthly challenge.
Thank you and to everyone else in the QRP community for inspiring those of us newbies
to check out what fun can be had with QRP.

Just found out about this site today. Have been a Ham since 1962. I enjoy CW and always have.
Getting into QRP and enjoy it as much as Kilowats. I'll be watching this site in the future.

I'm a new NAQCC member, and we have exchanged email about WPA CW QRP activities.
Your streak is both amazing and inspiring, and I hope to make your log one day!
I participated in my first NAQCC sprint last week, and had a great time. Paul-K2PMD
(a fellow Skyview member, with the comment below), was the third contact in my log for the sprint.
As a newer HAM (first licensed in 2020), CW has quickly become my preferred operating mode.
I told someone yesterday that I would assist with traffic handling for the WPA spring SET drill,
but would have to dust off my microphone to do so, hi hi. Even as I watch snow falling today,
I am looking forward to an increase in my pace of POTA activations.

Great to go see your website, and to read about your amazing streak. I found out
about the webiste because I saw your Name/Call in the NAQCC Sprint comments.
It was my first time participating in the Sprint. I just learned CW last year after
taking a couple of CW Ops courses. We met a few years ago at Moraine State Park.
I was activating on SSB because I don't know CW at the time. I hope to get you in
my log sometime soon. de K2PMD
