April 19, 2022 - Since my interest in contesting has changed over the past few years, I've decided to do a complete overhaul of this Contest Results page. At one time I entered nearly every contest that came along. That dwindled down to the point where I started recently to really enjoy and enter all the SST Sprints, but that interest ddwindled also. I still like and enter contests like the North American QSO Parties, the ARRL and CQWW DX Contests, the CQWW WPX Contest, Field Day (with Mike KC2EGL), Flight of the Bumblebees (with Mike), Skeeter Hunt (with Mike). Also sometimes a few other contests or sprints. I do try to enter all our NAQCC sprints to get at least one QSO for a participation point. There are a couple reasons for my decline in interest. In 2018 a very strong local noise developed which makes it difficult at times to hear signals, especially QRP level signals. Also the lack of sunspots has made conditions very rough, especially for working DX. Also other interests in life have contributed to the lack of contesting.

I'm keeping my table listing my best score ever from any contest I have entered over the years. I'll also try to list results from the contests listed above when I've made more than just a few QSOs. Also some of the award certificates I've won over the years. This will be kind of a work in progress and won't be completely updated all at once.

Hopefully these results should give newcomers to contesting some idea of what to expect when running minimal QRP and limited operating time as I do. Keep in mind that those QRPers with big antenna farms, better locations, and more operating time will have better results than those shown here.

First my personal best score for each different contest I've entered. I've divided the contests into categories roughly depicting the type of contest. An @ sign in the Award column means I have won an award in that contest, either for the listed score or in a different year.

Now here are selected contest results since 2014. Through 2018, the results are more detailed. After that, it is basically just a listing of number of QSOs and multipliers, score if readilly availbable, and notes. Tag team with Mike means when we used our own calls in a contest and worked stations one after another from my shack. At first we used a single key and switched chairs to use the key after "tagging" each other. As Mike interjects here, "We stopped the tag part of tag team contests when we started to have collisions. It got too dangerous. HI HI". Then we used separate keys and headphones connected to my one rig through Y connectors. A little hard to explain, but I'm sure you get the picture. If not, there are a couple pictures in my diary archives. Look at the entry for December 9, 2012.
