MY first rig was homebrew one tube 80 m novice xtal control, maybe 3 or 4 w out & most fun
ever!

I recently became active after 10 year layoff. I may someday try qrp operation but I feel it
may get frustrating when you can't get thru.

I used to run levels of 1 watt or less, but now I've opted to go with a wopping 5 watts on cw
and 7-10 on ssb. The current poll question is somewhat confusing. Although cw requirements
can be eliminated, how can you eliminate cw? - (The question said IF which means
hypothetically, not that it could or could not be done - K3WWP)

QRP has brought back the joy and camraderie that some of the newer technology had taken from
me (like packet spotting). It has been said that to grow in anything, one must give away what
he has learned. QRPers have proven to me to be the most generous in passing on information.

~3000 qsos in 2 years, about 65% in contests, expect to do some work with a watt or less in
the future. tnx & 73 de kt8k - Tim

I've been a ham for 9 months now. Started out with a Norcal 40a borrowed from my elmer. I now
use an elecraft k1 that I built. (my first electronics project!) I have only 17 qso's in my
log book, because I'm still pretty slow at copying and timid about transmitting. But I'm
slowly improving and looking forward to a long association with cw qrp. Operators like you
and my elmer, W5T5B are a real inspiration to me. Ron KD5ZKU

Plan to do much more portable!

Not sure about single band QRP WAS..possible, I dont track it..

I just got started with QRP last year - I'm having a blast - thanks for your site, which is
a great motivator.

Worked Sweepstakes one year on QRP SSB. Was 2nd in Section.

I don't have the log organized to answer what do you have on band X sorts of questions. My
opinion is that most QRP QSOs and QRP DX QSOs are on 20, but can't prove it. I do want to
try QRP/P (FOTBB, QRPTTF etc.) but have not done so yet. Primary QRP rig is a K2, so I
don't tend to dust off the others much. I did recetly get a Sierra kit so this may change
when the kit is built. On your questions about % QSOs QRP. I prefer to operate QRP and
do so when QSOs are for me personally. If I get a request for a QSO to verify my county
or such (unless QRP specifically requested) I will normally operate QRO (same with
special event stations). So I guess you could say that when it is just for me I am
100% QRP. Other operations are QRO if appropriate.

I've a HW-8 with a dipole antenna and have just gotten started.

QRP is good, but I urge QRPers to stop adding /QRP to their callsigns; it almost always
backfires. 73 de Kenji JJ1BDX/3
